In this episode, we highlight the influenza vaccine and its benefits in special risk groups e.g., individuals with chronic medical conditions, older adults and pregnant individuals. We also cover the symptoms of influenza, influenza vaccine side effects, and the pharmacist’s role in this area.
Episode 3 – Benefits of pertussis vaccination
In this episode, we focus on pertussis. We provide a brief background on pertussis, symptom overview, types of vaccine and side effects, recommendations for pertussis vaccination in adults and special risk groups, the role of pharmacists, and a list of resources to support this role.
